The first 66 units of the Great Wall Motor (GWM) Cannon pick-up truck are now in Malaysia, according to an Instagram post put up by the company recently.

It was first shown to the public in May's Malaysia Autoshow, and was then available for viewing at GWM's showroom in USJ. Two variants are on offer - the workhorse P11 and the more lifestyle-oriented P12, though it wasn't disclosed what the variant split is in this initial batch.

The main difference between both variants concern aesthetics and comfort features; the P12 has more chrome stuff and better interior trims, while the P11 makes do with a simpler exterior and creature comforts.

Regardless, both variants feature the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel mill, offering 163 PS and 400 Nm through a part-time 4WD setup. The engine is paired to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Prices haven't been officially revealed yet, however a previous dealer posting pegged the Cannon P12 to be priced at RM 127,800.
