MCO 2.0: Long-distance couples are allowed to travel interstate 01

The government has agreed to extend interstate travel permission to married couples who live apart due to work. Starting from 27 January 2021, couples who live apart are allowed to apply for the travel permit at police stations.

Senior (Defence) Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri made the announcement yesterday during the daily briefing held by the National Security Council (MKN). The decision was made to allow couples a chance to see their families during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

But before travelling, the council advises all travellers with Covid-19 symptoms to get treatments before they start their journeys.
