Reasons why I bought this car:

Car selection process
- I had a budget of: RM 250,000

- Models that I have considered include: Toyota Camry, BMW 218, Mercedes C-Class, Volkswagen Passat

Reasons why I chose this car:

I am attracted by the advertisment

User experience：
- I have already done: 15,000km
- My average fuel consumption is 10km per Litre

Plenty of power, but due to CVT characteristics, it is not as grunty as my old Mercedes Benz.

I found some design of Honda Accord is rather pointless. For example, the Honda Sensing radar is mounted below the front number plate. It is a vulnerable area, one small hit and the bracket will broke off. Service Center will reject claim request as they will classfiy those incident as driver carelessness.

Upon reading owner forum at USA's Accord Owner group, most of them agreed this design is a money pit for owner.

New car on road, but battery went dead within 3 months, and I have a break down on MRR2. Within 8 months, Honda Sensing radar mounting broken. I have to pay myself for this part, and I have to wait 3 months for part supply! This is a hard lesson for me, I will not buy my next car based on advertisment or paid review anymore!

Pros of my car:

- Spacious

- Quite rare on the road

- Previously, I am a Mercedes Benz owner. Due to MCO, a lot of people want to lend money from me. Honda Accord is a subtle and humble car, where it is not as high profile as Mercedes Benz that give an impression of "being rich".Most people will thought this Accord is the Civic.

Cons of my car:

- Bad aftersales services, need to wait long period for spare part.

- RM3000 for the Honda Sensing radar, but did not mention anything about calibration. Service center is not professional. Most of them just wanted to rip off money from owner instead of resolving issues for customer.

Summary：

I will strongly recommend those whom are considering Toyota Camry to test drive Honda Accord. Rear seat is really spacious.

If you intend to get this car, you need to find a good SC. My bad experience are mostly from SC.

I brought my 10 years old Daughter for car shopping session at BMW. My daughter say BMW look good. In a small regret for not choosing BMW.
