Reasons why I bought this car:

I bought this car as i heard about the Honda Sensing being the first on a B segment. This is also coupled with the new iMMD hybrid system. The system launched in Japan and had good feedback thus i would like to try it out.

Car selection process
- Our budget is 100000 - 120000.

- Models that I have considered include: Honda Civic , Hyundai IONIQ.

Reasons why I chose this car:

An alternative to a good ADAS with similar price range is the Hyundai IONIQ however it was discontinued and the resale value of Hyundai is not as excellent as a Honda brand.

Honda Civic the lowest spec has no Sensing and VTEC Turbo thus it was a no no.

User experience:
- I have already done: 3800km.

- My average fuel consumption is 24km/l.

It is super comfy, super quiet, good pickup on acceleration with no sluggish jerking. And it saved up my wallet for fuel and Honda gave us RM1000 for fuel at Petronas. The maintenance and services cost the same as normal car with +/- RM50

Pros of my car:

Fuel effiecient. Average i spent is RM70-80 depending on the fuel price for 800km for 40L. The longer you drive around 60 - 80 , or hypermiling the more you save as it charges while you drive and goes into EV mode. It also is super quiet in EV mode. Another is the HONDA SENSING added where it made my life easier for long range driving and cruising. It also roll a new Honda connect which is an online telemetry that can start engine, diagnose car, find my car, lock car and a lot.

Cons of my car:

A little bit small for the litre boot space. It has 100L less than the normal City S,E,V. It also lacks of front sensor parking or camera and it is hard to park without the sensor as you cant see in front. It also lacks both side BSM system compensated with left Lanewatch.

Summary:

The Honda City RS 1.5L eHev is a very good car for someone who like city driving and casual long range cruising. It saves a lot of fuel if driven casually around 700 - 1000km. The max i got is 900km with 24.3KM/L and it still average around 23-24KM/L except i like to overtake pesky King of the Road. It also helps me a lot when im tired and warns me and help me steer when i was about to run over the divider. Is it worth the 106k? With Honda Sensing and Honda connect, YES

Interesting event(s):

Many interesting events happened tho. During Ramadhan before Raya, i was driving in AEON Shah Alam car parking on 3 floor and there is a long line to enter the entrance, i was driving 20kmh then had to make a left turn but the Honda Sensing thought i was about to run them over and made a full complete stop and it suprised me.

This also occur to me when i was driving 60kmh then there is one motorcycle came into the intersection (it was my road since he has to wait) and he "Cilok" into the road and my car beeps and applied moderate braking which suprised me but for me it is deemed literally okayish for him to cilok as i have the distance.

The CMBS data will be sent to Honda for RnD and finer tuning (written on manual). Hope Honda can fine tune or make it stricter so it can make me drive safer.
