The Special Operation (Vehicle Check) was carried out by the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) at the main gate of the Bukit Aman Police HQ.
Over 15 police officers and 35 JSPT members were involved with the special operation. Other officers include 5 members from the Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS), 1 officer and 4 members from the Department of Environment (JAS) were also on hand for assistance.
280 vehicles were checked during the operation. Officers in charged issued 146 summonses for the use of fancy number plates, lack of side mirrors, and modified exhaust systems.
The purpose of the spot check at the Bukit Aman Police HQ is an effort to weed out any rule breakers amongst fellow police officers and administration workers.
PDRM further vows to remain strict with its officers and will continue making sure that officers follow the rules to set an example for the public.
