Restaurants now allowed to open until 10 pm, looks like #SiBodohKauDengarSini worked

Starting from 22 January 2021, eateries in states observing the Movement Control Order will be allowed to operate from 6 am to 10 pm.

The change of timing is a result of public backlash on social media complaining about the early closing time of all eateries, regardless of takeaways or food delivery services, set at 8 pm during the MCO period.

Since the start of MCO, the hashtag #SiBodohKauDengarSini has been trending on Twitter ridiculing the government for not only the ridiculously early closing time of restaurants, but for its messy MCO standard operating procedures (SOP) as well.

Meanwhile, MCO in 7 states and 3 federal territories have been extended to 4 February 2021.
