This is one of the most talked about cars at the moment - the Tesla Model 3 'Highland' facelift in Malaysia.

Launched at the newly opened Pavilion Damansara Heights with its Flagship Experience Centre, the Tesla Model 3 is available in two versions, with prices starting at RM 189,000 for the Standard Range variant and RM 218,000 for the Long Range model.

These prices exclude additional options like special colours and full self-driving capability, which can add RM 5,000 to RM 32,000 to the base price.

The Standard Range Model 3 is driven by a rear-mounted electric motor, delivering power to the rear wheels (RWD). It boasts a range of 513 km as per WLTP standards and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.

On the other hand, the Model 3 Long Range features a dual-motor configuration, providing all-wheel drive (AWD). This enhances the range to an impressive 629 km, as per WLTP standards, and accelerates the Model 3 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

As for charging capabilities, all variants support up to 11 kW for AC charging. In the case of the RWD variant, DC charging is rated at 170 kW, while the AWD Long Range model can handle a substantial 250 kW for DC charging.
