As Marvel Studio continue to tease the world with spots of their upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Lexus too, is dropping their own teasers of the movie, featuring their EV Lexus RZ 450e.

The RZ 450e will star in 60-, 30-, and 15-second spots alongside the Dora Milaje warriors titled An Electric Future.

Directed by Anthony Leonardi III, the spot finds General Okoye (played by Danai Gurira) in the RZ 450e as she prepared to fulfil her role of public speaker for her country. However, as she was on her way, she was embroiled in a car chase with villians.

This gave Lexus the perfect opportunity to show off the RZ450e’s features such as the One Motion Grip steering, balanced handling thanks to DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, and a seamless on-demand application of power via front and rear e-Axle motors.

This is not the first time the luxury marque worked with the film franchise. Previously, the first instalment of the film also featured a number of Lexus cars. Who could forget that scene where Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) virtually drove the sexy Lexus LC?

Back to the Lexus RZ 450e, the battery electric vehicle (BEV) features a 71.4 kWh battery pack that is good for 450 km on a single charge based on the J-WLTC test cycle.

As mentioned, the RZ 450e is an all-wheel-drive battery EV. Its four electric motors are capable of a claimed 316 PS. Lexus also claims that the BEV is capable of making the century sprint in just 5.2 seconds.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will open in cinemas on 9-November-2022. But for now, enjoy the teasers Lexus has for you.
