Earlier this year, MINI teased its latest model, the all-electric MINI Aceman which is planned to debut at next month’s Auto China show in Beijing. However, Chinese government regulators have ‘leaked’ exterior images of the upcoming electric crossover.
The Aceman (not a direct successor to the Paceman) will slot between the 3-door MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman in the lineup. It will be the second car produced by Spotlight Automotive, a joint venture between BMW and Great Wall Motor (GWM) after the all-electric J01 Cooper.

Two variants of the Aceman were revealed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) – the Aceman and Aceman S.
Overall, the Aceman S is the more decked-out variant with flashier LED headlights, bronze trim accents, and an S badge on the front and rear. Speaking of the rear, the taillights design carried over the split Union Jack look that is also seen on the all-new Cooper Electric.

Chinese documents also unveiled various optional decorative features for the upcoming crossover including a selection of 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheels as well as roof colour options.
The MINI Aceman is expected to be equipped with a single front-mounted electric motor (184 PS) and a 40-kWh battery pack. Range is expected to be around 300 km.
The more potent MINI Aceman S could receive a 218 PS motor mounted to the front and juiced up by a larger 54.2-kWh battery. Range is also enhanced to around 400 km.
The MINI Aceman is expected to make a world debut at Auto China 2024 which will take place in Beijing from 24 April. It will be built alongside the J01 MINI Cooper at Spotlight Automotive’s Zhangjiagang plant in China.
