2022 will be the final year that Lamborghini will launch a naturally aspirated (NA) V10 engine and the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica you see on this page is the final model with the said engine. The Huracan Tecnica is now on sale in Malaysia.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine borrowed from the Huracan STO, the car is capable of 640 PS and 565 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DCT.
The Tecnica is capable of making the century sprint in just 3.2 seconds while 0-200 km/h is done in 9.1 seconds. Top speed? Lamborghini quotes 325 km/h.
The car’s raw speed is helped by improved aerodynamics, Lamborghini claims the Tecnica has 35 percent more downforce and 20 percent less drag than the Huracan Evo RWD, as well as the new lightweight construction.
To make the car lighter, Lamborghini has swapped in a carbon fibre rear bonnet and upper hood cover and a carbon fibre front bonnet. So, the Tecnica only weighs 1,379 kg, making the power-to-weight ratio of 2.15 kg/PS.
With this being the final model with a NA V10, Lamborghini has also retuned the engine so the Tecnica produces sharper sounds at high revs to give enthusiasts the best sound experience.
Other than that, the car also comes with the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) system and specific driving mode calibration for versatility in every day and track driving.
Apart from being rear-wheel-drive, the Tecnica also comes with torque vectoring control, rear-wheel steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes with improved cooling.

There is also Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) for different drive modes: Strada Mode for a comfortable drive, an enhanced driving experience in Sport Mode, and maximum grip in Corsa Mode.
But other than improved aerodynamics and a better sounding engine, Lamborghini also made changes to help improve visibility by adding a new vertical rear glass window.
Other design improvements include a new bumper with an optimised air inlet, diffuser, and new hexagonal exhaust pipes.
Inside, passengers get height-adjustable sports seats, a new instrument panel (Lamborghini redesigned so it’s easier to read), and a vertical centre console screen with real-time display for LDVI functions. Of course, not to forget Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa connectivity.

Interested buyers can personalise their Tecnica with the Ad Persona programme. There are more than 200 paint options to pick from and more than 20 interior options as well.
No price was given at launch, however, with the Huracan Tecnica costing THB 22.98 million (~RM 2.8 million) in Thailand, the price for the car in Malaysia would not stray too far.
As mentioned, the Huracan Tecnica is the last of Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated V10 engine models. The company aims to launch its first hybrid model in 2023 and plans to convert the entire Lamborghini range to hybrids by 2024.
