MINIs have always looked like moving pieces of art and evoked a sense of adventure just by looking at them. Sure, they might resemble works of Salvador Dali more than Leonardo Da Vinci but art has always been about individual interpretation anyways. That’s precisely the beauty behind the newly introduced MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition.

It sure looks like all the creativity went into the art instead of naming the car because as the name suggests, its unique feature is located on the roof.

The unique design by local artist Jared Lim, or more commonly known as ‘Professional Crayon,’ has captured the extraordinary beauty of Malaysia in his artwork on the roof.

Jared visual masterpiece depicts the rich tapestry of Malaysian flowers while highlighting many classic elements of the MINI brand, such as the wings of the MINI logo gracefully emerging through waves and weaves of the Malaysian flora.

At the centre, a bejewelled gem-shaped heart encapsulates the Union Jack taillights, a speedometer, and a compass, symbolising the adventurer's relentless pursuit of new experiences. Amongst the foliage, a hibiscus blossom.

Apart from the work of art, the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition retains everything from the standard Countryman. This includes the automatic LED headlights with cornering functionality, its distinctive bonnet stripes, roof rails and side sills.

Under the hood, you’ll find the very same 2.0-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine, delivering 192 PS and 280 Nm of torque. With the 7-speed dual clutch transmission, it’ll hit the century sprint in 7.5-second and a top speed of 226 kph.

Inside, you’ll find the MINI Yours Illuminated cockpit in Shaded Silver as well as the dark silver door bezels and Hazy Grey elements. Of course, the 5.0-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and 8.8-inch touchscreen display are still present.

The MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition will be available in three colours, British Racing Green, Chilli Red and Island Blue. All will only be made in limited quantities to offer a truly exclusive ownership experience.

Pricing for what is literally art on wheels is RM 264,888, and comes with a 4-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled servicing.
