BMW Group Malaysia delivered 15,012 units of BMW and MINI vehicles, including BMW Motorrad motorcycles. The figure is 3.8 percent higher than 2022. The group also ended the year as Malaysia’s No.1 premium automaker, for the fourth consecutive year.

One third of the sales are financed by BMW Financial Services.

Of the 15,000 total units delivered, the group’s namesake BMW brand contributed 11,699 cars, which is slightly lower than last year’s 11,800 units.

MINI showed an impressive 42 percent growth, totaling 1,750 cars. Over 1,000 units were contributed by the MINI Countryman. 

The two-wheeler BMW Motorrad division delivered 1,563 motorcycles, up 13 percent.

Electrified vehicles (xEVs), including plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) made up about a quarter (over 3,600 units) of all BMW and MINI cars delivered in Malaysia last year.

The BMW iX contributed the lion's share, with over 1,100 units. The company's flagship i7 contributed over 600 units.

Except for BMW Motorrad, the prices listed above are inclusive of a 5-year extended warranty and service package.

The BMW 3 Series is the company's best seller, with our 2,600 units delivered. Followed by over 800 units of the BMW 5 Series (majority of it 530i). The X Series SUVs added over 4,000 units, with the X5 alone contributing over 1,500 units.

As for the M Series, are over 500 performance cars were delivered. 

Globally, BMW Group hit an all-time high sales record of 2,555,341 units, 6.5 percent higher than 2022. BEV models made up 15 percent of the total vehicles delivered.
