- Panoramic sunroof fitted as standard
Volvo Car Malaysia has announced a series of updates and enhancements for its 2024 lineup of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), including the XC90, XC60, S90, S60, and V60 models.
These updates include a more powerful on-board charger, which Volvo Car Malaysia says it accommodates up to 6.4 kW two- or three-phase charging (up from single-phase 3.6 kW charging previously), new wheel design, a new exterior colour option called Vapour Grey, and standard fitment of panoramic sunroof.

The S90 Recharge will feature a new eight-spoke wheel design, while the V60 Recharge and S60 Recharge will have a new six-spoke wheel design.
Key updates for the 2024 models also include a 5-year complimentary Digital Services package, granting access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play Store and Volvo Cars app remote functions.
Notably, the YouTube app will be available on the Google built-in infotainment systems in all 2024 models, accessible when the vehicle is stationary.
Previous Volvo models with Google built-in infotainment will receive YouTube via an over-the-air (OTA) software update, which also enables scheduled charging via the Volvo Cars app.
All Volvo PHEV models (except the XC40) get a 2.0-litre four-pot that develops 317 PS and 400 Nm, sending power to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The combustion engine is aided by a 145 PS / 309 Nm electric motor mounted at the rear axle, providing electric-AWD, and a nett power output of 462 PS and 709 Nm of torque.
The electric motor is driven by an 18.8 kWh battery and provides an all-electric driving range of up to 90 km, depending on model.
The updated 2024 Volvo models will be available starting in September 2023, and customers can schedule test drives through the Volvo Car Malaysia website.
