The spiritual home of the pick-up truck, Thailand, is set to welcome the Tesla Cybertruck battery electric vehicle (BEV) as it has been officially confirmed to launch in their market later this week. Yes, it is the model's ASEAN debut, and it also bids well for Malaysia – more on that below.

Tesla Thailand announced that the Cybertruck will be displayed at the Tesla Centre Ramkhamhaeng beginning 6-April 2024. The 'onboarding' event promises attendees first-hand experience with the three-tonne BEV, as well as special merchandise.
Specs for the Thai market aren't confirmed just yet, with the figures listed on the website pointing to the North American version. American customers can choose between a single-motor rear-wheel drive version (402 km range, output not available yet), dual-motor all-wheel drive (608 PS/10,080 Nm, 547 km range), or the tri-motor Cyberbeast (857 PS/13,959 Nm, 515 km).
No prices yet too, though the range starts from USD 60,990 (~RM 285k) for the RWD variant, USD 79,990 (~RM 374k) for the AWD car, and USD 99,990 (~RM 467k) for the Cyberbeast.
Tesla Cybertruck in Malaysia?
It seems to be a possibility, given that the model has been listed on Tesla Malaysia's website about as quickly as the model's first North American deliveries have started.
There's also the fact that our official Tesla range mirrors what's offered in Thailand, so an announcement for the Cybertruck in Malaysia is expected to happen soon.
