âWhat exactly is an integrated sports car facility?â we hear you ask. Well, weâre not sure ourselves but according to a report by Bernama, thatâs precisely whatâs going to be built by 2025.
The 0.399 ha single-roof facility is expected to cost RM 10 million and will be a shared collaboration between tuning house Optimal Premium Motors (OPM), automotive detailer PrimeX Signature and TOC Automotive College (TOC).

Deputy youth and sports minister Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker elaborated more on the facility in a statement issued yesterday, explaining that itâll house showrooms (but only for sports cars?) apart from automotive restoration, detailing, accessory and car trade lots. Youâll also find an auto detailing academy that aims to provide educational courses in automotive technology, engineering, restoration and detailing.

âWhat OPM, PrimeX and TOC are doing will not only showcase Malaysiaâs blooming automotive industry but at the same time provide our youth with more employment opportunities and upskilling with valuable knowledge to take them to great heights,â added Ti via his statement.
The founder of OMP, Simpson Tan, went on to add that the facility will create over 600 jobs whilst also contributing technical training towards a growing set of skilled workers in the country.
âBetter late than never.â Some despise it, others begrudgingly agree with it but he swears by it⊠much to the chagrin of everyone around him. That unfortunately stems from all of his project cars not running most of the time, which in turn is testament to his questionable decision-making skills in life. A culmination of many wrongs fortunately making a right; much like his project cars on the rare occasions they run, heâs still trying to figure out if another project car is the way to go.
