With MCO 2.0 out in force, some of us are forced to work from home yet again. But for those who think that the office gives them more productivity, Nissan has a solution for you with a mobile office van.
Called the Nissan NV350 Caravan Office Pod, it’s a concept that allows you to combine both office work and nature. That’s right, Nissan envisions a perfect vehicle for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors while organising spreadsheets.

Based on the Nissan NV350 Caravan (once sold here as the Urvan), the Office Pod runs on all-terrain tyres and the body panels have a corrugated groove that is probably inspired by office furniture.
The office section can be slid out of the back through an app and even features a see-through polycarbonate floor. The latter is perfect to enjoy the wonders of nature below your feet while on break.
The retractable office is a pretty genius design concept given how compact the NV350 Caravan is. The G-shape of the pod is fairly simple with the flat tip acting as a desk for your computer/laptop/model car collection and there’s even a built-in office chair made by Herman Miller.
But, if you’re wanting to really take a break from work and looking at wild fish below your feet is not enough, Nissan has a “balcony” feature.
Technically, it should be called the “rooftop” feature because this assembly is set up on the roof which includes a large beach umbrella, a beach chair, side table, and a ladder to get on top.
Elsewhere, the office on wheels also comes with an AC/DC inverter to power devices like a coffee maker or a PC and a glove box with antibacterial UV light.
While an outdoorsy mobile office sounds cool, Nissan maintains that this is simply a fun concept with zero chance for it entering production.
