2021 Geely Preface - next 'Perdana' is bigger than a Volvo S60!

After the shapely 2021 Geely Xing Yue, the next car you love to see from the Chinese automotive giant is this, the 2021 Geely Preface - showcased at the 2020 Guangzhou Autoshow.

Like its coupe-SUV counterpart, the Preface is underpinned by Geely's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, which was jointly developed with Volvo.

The Preface is a large D-segment sedan - even longer than the Volvo S60. Here's how it measures:

Driving the Preface is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged in-line four mill producing 190 PS and 300 Nm. Powering is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

As you'd come to expect, the interior is a classy place to be in - dominated by two large screens (for the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system) and just about that really. It's elegant in its simplicity.

Rear air-cond vents are a given, and adding a touch of class to the overall package is the two-tone leather upholstery. 

Much like other recent Geely models, the Preface is widely touted to be the next Proton Perdana; one that may just be able to revitalise Malaysia's D-segment sedan market.
