Great Wall Motors (GWM) has unveiled the updated 2023 Haval H6. Here's a a first look at its exterior design through the released images.

The updated 2023 Haval H6 gets a new front fascia that does without a traditional central grille, now with a closed-off look akin to some electric vehicles (EVs).

To ensure that it doesn’t suffocate the combustion engine behind it, the front bumper has a more prominent lower intake.

The LED graphics in the headlamps also appear to be slight revised, with multiple diagonal strips on the lower edges. Only three images have been released by GWM as of posting, and changes to the rear remains to be seen.

Technical details are yet to be disclosed, but it is expected that the current range of powertrain will soldier on, with a range of hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options.

Currently, the HEV variant features a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, supplemented by an electric motor for a combined system output of 243 PS and 530 Nm. The PHEV variant bumps the output to 326 PS and 530 Nm. Power is sent to a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for both variants.
