The 2023 Honda CR-V has begin closing the gap to the Haval H6 in Thailand's C-SUV sales for the month of April 2023, garnering 446 units sold to the H6's 401 cars moved.

Autolife's sales data points towards Honda gaining ground after falling behind its Chinese rival in Q1 2023. Despite regaining the top spot for the month, there's still work to be done as the year-to-date lead still goes to Haval with 1,585 H6 sold thus far against the Honda's 654 cars.

The Haval H6 is a model that's coming to Malaysia, and so is the Honda CR-V. In a country where Honda's famously done very well (look at how the HR-V leads the subcompact SUV segment), the H6's pull is rather noteworthy.

Digressions aside, the Subaru Forester sits in third place and with 254 units of it sold last month, bringing it just 9 units off the CR-V's second place YTD. The Mazda CX-8 (180 cars) and MG HS (102 units) circle the top 5 sellers.

Elsewhere in the standings, the Mazda CX-5 continues its two-digit sales run with only 58 sold, while the Peugeot 3008 maintains its position with 19 units sold that month. The Mitusbishi Outlander and Peugeot 5008 meanwhile had a month to forget, recording 13 and 0 sales respectively for April.
