Porsche Asia Pacific closes the first quarter of 2021 with a 28% growth from last year with 827 cars delivered. From the 827 deliveries, 47% were electrified vehicles (EV and Hybrid).
This is great news for Porsche as it aims to have half of all its new cars to be electrified by 2025.
First deliveries of the Porsche Taycan also took place in Q1 2021, with 150 units delivered (18%).
More than 60% of the Taycan owners who took delivery of their electric sports cars this quarter were completely new to the Porsche family, proving that the initiatives Porsche introduced to accelerate in the age of electric mobility are quickly gaining traction.
Besides its record performance, Porsche has recently announced a collaboration with Shell for EV charging.
The collaboration will enable the implementation of the first cross-border high performance charging network in Southeast Asia, connecting Singapore and Malaysia.
