At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2022, Chery made its official return to the country with several models such as Tiggo 8 Pro, OMODA 5, EQ1, and more on display. What’s not on display is the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, which has been spotted undisguised on the streets of Indonesia.

According to AutoFun Indonesia, there were three units with different colours - silver, red, and black – undergoing the usual round of tests before being put on the market.

The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in Indonesia is expected to use a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that that puts out 147 PS/210 Nm through a 6-speed automatic transmission.

As for Malaysia, the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro was spotted in Ipoh about a year ago in a rather heavy camouflage. According to our sources, Chery is set to bring in a line-up that will consist mostly of SUVs including the Tiggo 4 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro, and the Omoda 5 to Malaysia.

The Chery Malaysia Facebook page under the @cherymalaysiaofficial name was created on 13-October 2021 and since then, the page has been constantly updated with information on the Chinese carmaker and some of its upcoming models.
