A different X70 - This is Chery's Jetour X70 Plus 1.5T, launching in Indonesia

One of Chery's many export brands, Jetour, will begin sales in Indonesia come July 2024, reports CNN Indonesia.

Two new models are in the pipeline: the Jetour Dasheng and the Jetour X70 Plus. Both cars are equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, though further specification details are still under wraps, reportedly launching at the Gaikindo International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024.

The named models will be locally-assembled (CKD) in Indonesia, and a company spokesperson says that the duo will be priced "below IDR 500 million (~RM 150k)."

Jetour is a brand that's focused on the export markets, and aside from turbocharged engines, their mainly-SUV line-up comprises of hybrids and battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Prior to this Indonesian introduction, Jetour is already in countries like the Philippines, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, we'll be getting another Chery sub-brand, Jaecoo, that's set to make its official launch here in the first half of the year.
