Specifications confirmed for the Malaysian-market Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (197 hp / 290 Nm) that's paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), as are a full suite of advanced driver assistance (ADAS) functions and panoramic sunroof.
Within, the infotainment system also offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with an 8-speaker Sony audio system. Thereβs also an all-around 360-degree parking camera and a panoramic sunroof.
Prices are, by our own estimates, likely to hover around the RM 130k mark, given that it features a larger-capacity engine and slightly more family-oriented positioning against the Omoda 5 which retails from RM 108,800 to RM 118,800.
Upon launch, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro will be fighting against the facelifted 2024 Proton X70 that's currently undergoing development work.
The Tiggo 7 Pro is one of three Chery launches to take place this year, alongside the recently-unveiled Omoda E5 battery electric vehicle (BEV) and another unnamed model, touted as the Tiggo 4 Pro.
