Dealers have announced that bookings for the locally-assembled (CKD Kulim) 2023 Kia Carnival 11-seater are now open, signalling that the model's official launch should be happening sometime soon.
Some of them have even given it a preliminary estimated pricetag of RM 218,000; and while that is slightly higher than the RM 200k the fully-imported variants of the 11-seater Carnival currently commands, this could spell a specs update too to bring it better in-line with the CKD 7- and 8-seater variants.
However, brand custodians Dinamikjaya Motors haven't issued any official confirmation at the time being.
Note that the Carnival 8-seater is priced from RM 231,228 to RM 247,428, and the 7-seater variant is priced from RM 261,228. The main differentiator between these and the 11-seater – apart from the seat count – is the presence of creature comforts like a digital instrument cluster, Bose audio, and full advanced driver aids, besides minor exterior lighting variances.
All variants of the Carnival are powered by a 2.2-litre turbodiesel (199 PS/440 Nm), paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
