The 2024 Kia Carnival makes a very compelling MPV and there are 3 seating configurations to choose from across 4 variants. With the recent launch of the locally assembled (CKD) 11-seater last month, all variants of the Malaysian-spec Kia Carnival are now CKD in Kulim, Kedah.

The Carnival looks as grand as the default luxury MPV duo of important folks, the Toyota Vellfire and Toyota Alphard. Yet, at around the same price as a recond unit of the two luxury breadboxes on wheels, the Korean MPV might be a better purchase, especially with a 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty and service maintenance coverage.

One powertrain option is offered for all 4 variants of the Carnival, a 2.2-litre Smartstream turbodiesel unit that makes 202 PS and 440 Nm. An 8-speed automatic transmission is the only gearbox offered and power is sent to the front.
