Honda has just revealed its new Ye Series, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup designed specifically for the Chinese market. The debut includes the world premiere of the Ye P7 and Ye S7 models, along with a concept model called the Ye GT Concept, with the first sales to begin by the end of 2024.
By 2027, Honda plans to introduce a total of six models in the Ye Series lineup.
These new models, set to be showcased at the upcoming 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024), represent Honda's commitment to the electrification of its product line in China. While the current e:N Series cars are already on sale there, the Ye Series aims to further diversify Honda's electric vehicle offerings.
Named after the Chinese character "็จ" meaning "shine brilliantly," the Ye Series is also a showing of the brand's commitment to electrification โ all Ye Series cars will feature the new, throwback-style H logo designed for its next-gen BEV models.
Beyond the powertrain, Honda says that the Ye Series vehicles are all built on a newly-developed dedicated BEV platform, and will employ fresh technologies such as an AI-powered assistant.

The Ye P7 and Ye S7, the first models in the Ye Series, offer both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options. These subcompact SUVs are claimed to offer spacious interiors and intelligent features like LED light emission patterns synced with AI assistance.
Both the P7 and S7 models are scheduled to go on sale at the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, the Ye GT Concept is designed to be a grand tourer, keeping a design that sticks to the 'low and wide' formula. Powertrain details are not shared just yet (neither have they been for the P7 and S7, by the way) though Honda has confirmed that it will have a far-focus display for the front seat passenger that offers an immersive space similar to a private theatre.
Production models based on the Ye GT Concept are slated for release by the end of 2025.
