Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the official distributor for Porsche models in Malaysia, has launched the 2021 Porsche Panamera facelift. At launch, only the base variant is available, priced from RM 1,026,035 with SST discount.

The base spec 2021 Porsche Panamera comes with a 2.9-litre V6 bi-turbo engine generating 330 PS and 450 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed PDK (dual-clutch transmission). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds while top speed is 270 km/h.

Stopping power comes courtesy of six-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers at the front, and four-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers at the rear.

Porsche says the adaptive shock absorbers, electronic roll stabilisation, steering system and revamped engine and axle mounts have all been optimised, with the objective to make the middle ground between sporty driving and comfort as expansive as possible.

Three new 20- and 21-inch wheels have been added to the wheel range. A total of 10 different designs are now available for buyers to choose, including the Exclusive Design 21-inch alloy wheels.

The new Panamera feature the previously optional Sport Design front end with more prominent air intake grilles, larger side air intakes with adapted single-bar front light layout. LED matrix headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) Plus is equipped.

The revised fullwidth light strip at the rear now extends across the boot lid with an adapted contour.

Safety wise, Lane Keeping Assist with road sign recognition as well as Night Vision Assist and Lane Change Assist come as standard. It also features Park Assist, Surround View camera and head-up display.
