In the latest update in the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the reinstated Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the country, all passengers of public transports, including buses, trains, taxis and even e-hailing rides, are required to scan their MySejahtera tracing apps.
All e-hailing vehicles will now have an individual MySejahtera QR code for e-hailers to scan. In the event a passenger does not have a smart device, they are required to fill in their details on a record book prepared by the driver.
Only passengers that have no symptoms are allowed to use the e-hailing services and transactions are encouraged to go cashless during this time.
As like before, only 2 passengers are allowed per trip while both passengers and drivers are required to wear their face mask at all times. Passengers are also encouraged to sanitise after they enter the vehicle and before they exit the car.
The same protocol is applied to buses with the addition that all passengers must first check their body temperatures before allowed further into the bus. Meanwhile, passengers on the LRT, KTMB, and ERL are required to scan the MySejahtera QR code in each train.
