You probably remember the original Mitsubishi Airtrek, most probably by its defining variant, the 4G63T-powered Turbo. Well, the name's back, this time sans Evo mill and all-wheel drive - the Airtrek is now an electric vehicle (EV).
Unlike last time, this upcoming Airtrek will be a China-exclusive model, manufactured by the Chinese joint venture GAC Mitsubishi Motors.
Underneath the new 'Dynamic Shield' fascia and other aesthetic changes, the Airtrek is expected to share the same 135 kW, 350 Nm electric motor with the Aion V too.
Depending on variant, the the donor Aion V offers 400 to 600 km of NEDC range, something the Airtrek should mirror as well.
As far as size goes, this is how the Aion V measures. The Airtrek should be thereabouts as well:

According to sources, the Mitsubishi Airtrek EV SUV will make its debut at the Chongqing Motor Show, which starts on 12-June, 2021.
