A former State Assemblyman in Penang reportedly stepped on the wrong pedal of his Mitsubishi Triton and caused the pick-up to crash straight into his neighbour’s two-story half wooden house.
According to Utusan Melayu, the incident happened in Kampung Nelayan, Teluk Kumbang, Penang yesterday (18 May) at around 12 pm.
A witness told the Malay daily that the Triton was idling in front of the former State Assemblyman's neighbour's when the 60-year-old unintentionally engaged a gear and mistakenly stepped on the throttle instead.
This caused the Mitsubishi Triton to spring forward and slam into the front of his neighbour’s house causing massive damage to the front wall. Thankfully no one was hurt during the incident.
Both parties have already come to a repair settlement.
