Headlining Asia's largest Porsche sports car gathering, Das Treffen's eighth edition took centre stage at Impact Lakeside, Muang Thong Thani, on 17-December 2023. Over 600 classic and modern Porsche sports cars, accompanied by a crowd of over 2,600 enthusiasts attended the celebratory event known as 'Feiertag.'

This gathering marked the culmination of multiple milestones for Porsche, weaving together the Southeast Asian region's 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars, the enduring legacy of the Porsche 911's 60th anniversary, and the conclusion of Porsche Thailand's 30th anniversary festivities.

From its humble origins as a small and intimate meeting for Porsche aficionados initiated by founder Sihabutr Xoomsai, also known as "Tenn," Das Treffen has blossomed into a dynamic Porsche community festival that encapsulates the unique passion for the brand in Southeast Asia.

The focal point of Das Treffen 8 for Porsche Thailand was the display titled "Dreams in Colours." The exhibit featured all seven limited-edition 911 Carrera GTS – 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition sports cars, each inspired by a different colour representing a day of the week in Thai culture. 

This exclusive collection, with hues ranging from Monday's Signalyellow to Sunday's Firered, was unveiled to the public for the first time after an exclusive preview for customers the previous night.

Porsche Thailand also showcased other highlights, including a 992-generation 911 GT3 enhanced with Manthey Racing performance parts and an AAS Motorsport section.

A standout presence was the Porsche 718 Spyder ‘000’ or ‘Triple Zero’ by Porsche Thailand. This creation, curated by Pete Stout and Alex Palevsky of 000 Magazine in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, drew inspiration from the legendary Carrera GT. The Spyder ‘000’ boasted specific exterior and interior design elements, offering an ideal look for unfiltered, open-top winding road driving.

Adding to the experience at Das Treffen 8 was the Airstream Caravan "Trailer Living Room" inspired by Curves magazine, a publication dubbed the "car magazine without cars" by creative luminary Stefan Bogner. The Curves "Living Room" blended the thrill of road trip adventure with the captivating spirit of Porsche.

Peter Rohwer, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand, expressed pride in Porsche's resonance with the Thai people during the 30th-anniversary celebrations. He remarked, "The celebrations wrap up at the largest-ever Das Treffen – a perfect reflection of the growing community of Porsche fans here in Thailand."
