Imagine if your pride and joy got destroyed when all it needed was just a car wash. That was the nightmare faced by Genoa goalkeeper Federico Marchetti when his Ferrari 812 Superfast was destroyed by a car wash worker.
Following days of downpour, the former Italy international decided to get his prized Ferrari professionally taken care of. He dropped off his prancing horse at a car wash last Monday before heading off to train with the Serie A club.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is one of the most powerful production Ferrari models currently on sale with its 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine producing 800 PS and 718 Nm.
Clearly, the worker couldn’t handle the sheer horsepower and crashed the red Fezza into five parked cars according to Italian media.
Based on images shared via social media, unfortunately, the 812 Superfast is destined for the scrapheap as it looked completely totalled. Despite the large shunt, it’s a good thing no one was hurt. Marchetti even took to Instagram to extend his forgiveness to the hapless worker.
