Toyota unveils 'Start Your Impossible' Olympics, Paralympics campaign; introduces Team Toyota Asia athletes

Worldwide Olympic partner, Toyota, has unveiled the latest phase of its "Start Your Impossible" campaign ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, which is only less than 100 days away.

Marking the start of the campaign is the "Send Off', a 60-second video that highlights the impact of various communities coming together to support their Olympics and Paralympics athletes as they head to the Games.

It is the first of a series of videos to come, in which Toyota aims to shed light on the people behind the athletes' success – the coaches, teammates, parents, fans – with a focus on showing how celebrating one's community matters.

The fully-integrated marketing campaign will feature more than 20 Olympic and Paralympic athletes, and will be aired on various media platforms, including broadcast commercials ranging from 15 seconds to a minute.

Team Toyota Athletes for Paris 2024

Under the umbrella of Global Team Toyota Athletes, Toyota sponsors over 200 athletes from 40 countries on their journey to qualify and compete at Paris 2024. Out of this list are 11 Asian Olympians and Paralympians, including one Malaysian.

The full line-up of 11 Team Toyota Asia athletes include:

• Malaysia: Abdul Latif Romly, Long Jump – Para Athletics
• India: Murali Sreeshankar, Athletics
• Indonesia: Ni Nengah Widiasih, Para Powerlifting
• Nepal: Nabita Shresta – Table Tennis
• Pakistan: Arshad Nadeem – Athletics
• Philippines: Carlos Yulo, Artistic Gymnastics
• Philippines: Ernie Gawilan, Para Swimming
• Singapore: Toh Wei Soong, Para Swimming
• Thailand: Kunvalut Vitidsarn, Badminton 
• Thailand: Pongsakorn Paeyo, Wheelchair Racing – Para Athletics
• Vietnam: Lê Văn Công, Para Powerlifting

Toyota is also an official partner of the Olympics and Paralympics, as well as being the first to be the Games' mobility partner. Part of that effort will see the carmaker deliver over 3,500 mobility solutions for the Games, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs), hybrids (HEVs), and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs).
