According to the information we received, pre-production of the D55L will commence in mid-September. Mass production of the Perodua Ativa(D55L) will start in December 2020, meaning that the model’s debut will likely take place a month later, likely in the first few months of 2021.

The Perodua Ativa featured a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that does 98 PS and 140 Nm

In short, we’d consider the Perodua Ativa(D55L) to be a B-segment SUV.It's only slightly bigger than a tax-deducted 'kei' minicar like the Daihatsu Taft, but smaller than mainstream B-segment SUVs like the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3.

The D55L doesn't compete Cross-shopping with the Proton X50 will be inevitable - even as they are in different segments. Both cars are SUVs, but the D55L (actual name isn't confirmed yet) will almost certainly be cheaper. 

Perodua Ativa(D55L) will launch on 3-March 2021!

The D55L is Perodua's B-segment SUV that's based on the Toyota Raize & Daihatsu Rocky. In Japan, it is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine making 98 PS and 140 Nm. More than adequate for a sub 4-meter compact SUV.
