Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has confirmed that they have no plans to launch an 11-seater version of the fully-imported from Korea 2021 Hyundai Staria MPV. The MPV will remain solely as a 7-seater in Malaysia even though 11-seater variants are available in other countries. Contrary to popular belief, the Staria will not be replacing the Hyundai Grand Starex. CKD plans of the Kia Carnival in Malaysia will have to be pushed back further due to delays caused by prior COVID-19 lockdowns. Since Naza Kia Malaysia updated the 2020 Kia Grand Carnival to an 11-seater MPV, the car’s interior experienced a massive downgrade. Gone were the comfortable leather seats and in its place were beige fabric ones. But it seems there is now an option to upgrade them to black leather. Uploaded on a Facebook post over the weekend, a Kia dealer in Seri Kembangan showed off black leather seats in the new 11-seater Grand Carnival.
