In true Movement Control Order (MCO) fashion, Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will launch the all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra online via their official Hyundai Facebook page on 10 December 2020 at 11 am!
The announcement of the virtual launch was made via a video that plays with the seventh-generation Elantra’s new design language.

The Elantra is the third model that HSDM will launch via a Facebook livestream, following the launch of the Hyundai Kona and Hyundai Sonata back in October.
HSDM has already held a media preview for the Hyundai Elantra, so here a few quick deeds. The new C-segment sedan will only be available in 1 variant and has a price estimated to be around RM 1XX,888. As the car is fully imported (CBU) from Hyundai’s Korea plant, don’t expect it to be cheap.

Power comes from a 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated SmartStream petrol engine that produces 123 PS and 154 Nm. The engine is mated to Hyundai’s new Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT; Hyundai’s term for CVT) with 8 virtual ratios.
Other than that, the Elantra is also very well-equipped featuring 17-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone air-conditioning, and an 8-inch infotainment display that allows Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The Elantra will also be the second model in HSDM’s stable to feature the full Hyundai SmartSense ADAS Suite after the Kona.
So, the C-segment sedan will also feature systems like Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop and Go, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Lane Following Assist (LFA) just to name a few.
