Less than a year since its global debut, the 2021 (W213) Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift is set to arrive in Thailand come February 2021, reports HeadLight Magazine.
Like the G30 BMW 5 Series facelift that was recently launched in Thailand, two powertrains are expected – a diesel and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). More specifically, the Mercedes-Benz E220d and E300e.
The Mercedes-Benz E220d is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine that makes 194 PS and 400 Nm of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
As for the PHEV, the Mercedes-Benz E300e gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 211 PS and 350 Nm of torque from the combustion engine alone. Supplemented by an electric motor, it makes a total output of 320 PS/700 Nm.
Back in Malaysia, the 2021 (W213) Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift was spotted late last year in 2020, indicating an imminent launch. However, the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia may have delayed launch plans.
