Slightly over a year since the GN-series Honda City made its Malaysian debut, Honda Malaysia has introduced a new variant – City 1.5V Sensing.
As the name suggests, the non-hybrid City now includes the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, encompassing features like Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Auto High Beam (AHB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
But that’s not all – out goes the analogue instrument cluster, now replaced with a swanky full-digital 7-inch unit, similar to the range-topping City RS. Unlike the City RS and its electric parking brake (EPB), the new City 1.5V Sensing gets a regular mechanical handbrake.
The rest of the City remains the same, including a new naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre DOHC petrol engine that does 121 PS and 145 Nm, mated to a CVT transmission.
The new Honda City 1.5V Sensing is priced at RM 90,212 (on-the-road, without insurance), inclusive of SST discounts and valid until 30-June 2022. The regular non-Sensing City 1.5V is priced at RM 86,561.
