Audi has unveiled the facelifted 2024 Audi Q7 and SQ7, the latest rendition of the company's flagship family SUV which features a refreshed design and enhanced technology features.
Notably, this is the second facelift of the 2nd-generation (4M) Audi Q7, the first mid-life facelift came in 2019, 4-years after its first introduction in 2015.
Powertrains remain the same, though Audi has streamlined variants to just 2 diesel engines and 2 petrol engines, inclusive of the high-performance SQ7 variant. All V6 engines also feature a 48V mild-hybrid system for improved efficiency. Listed as follows:
45 TDI – 3.0L V6 turbodiesel, 231 PS/500 Nm
50 TDI – 3.0L V6 turbodiesel, 286 PS/600 Nm
55 TFSI – 3.0L V6 turbo, 340 PS/500 Nm
SQ7 TFSI – 4.0L V8 turbo, 507 PS/770 Nm
In terms of technology, the new Q7 notably receives the updated MIB 3 infotainment system which can utilise popular apps from third-party providers such as Spotify or Amazon Music. Elsewhere, the Audi Virtual Cockpit displays have been updated and Remote Park Assist Plus - which allows users to remotely park the Q7 via the 'myAudi' app - now comes as standard.
The Q7 offers passive suspension and optional adaptive suspension with up to 90 mm of adjustability. The SQ7 TFSI also introduces the optional advanced suspension package, including a sport differential with torque vectoring and electromechanical active roll stabilisation (eAWS) system for enhanced handling.
Aesthetically, the 2024 Q7 now features a revamped Singleframe grille with new inlays for both base and S Line models. The bumper has also been redesigned to accommodate the redesigned headlights. Elsewhere there are also three new colours: Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red as well as 5 new wheel designs ranging between 20- and 22 inches.
On the inside, the base model Q7 will now get contrast gray stitching on the seats as standard, and there's up to 9 trim options for the interior depending on the variant.
Amongst the biggest changes have been the head- and taillights. Both have been redesigned with new visual signatures. At the front, LED headlights are standard, whilst the optional HD Matrix LED headlights (with Audi Laser Light) now allows users to select up to 4 digital DRL signatures.
The Q7's optional OLED taillights also feature four digital light signatures of its own.
The Q7 and SQ7 are set to launch in Europe within Q1 2024. At the outset prices will start at EUR 79,300 (~RM 406k) for the base Q7 and go upwards of EUR 112,000 (~RM 573k) for the SQ7 TFSI.
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
