It’s easy to get confused when it comes to the Honda Integra, but to make it clearer, the 2022 Integra five-door coupe that was teased earlier will be branded under Honda’s luxury arm, Acura. This Honda Integra you’re looking at is a China-only issue and the Honda Civic FE’s twin.

In case you missed it, Honda has two partners in China, Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda. Dongfeng Honda sells the Honda Civic, while GAC Honda will be responsible for the Honda Integra/ Civic-twin you see here.

Previously, GAC Honda only released pictures of the sporty Integra, now debut photos revealed that GAC is going wild with the colours with a bright yellow and jade green option to pick.

Even in China, these colours are deemed to be daring choices. Clearly, GAC Honda is targeting the younger generation of car-buyers.

But despite this being a Civic twin, it seems the company still wants to pay homage to the legendary Integra of yesteryears. The Integra is rumoured to also come with a manual transmission paired to the same L15C9 turbocharged 1.5-litre engine as the Civic that dispenses at least 184 PS.

We’ve previously established that the Integra aims to be the sportier version of the Civic, hence the sharper LED headlamps, honeycomb grille, and angular dimensions. The rear also gets a large diffuser piece to further enhance the sportiness.

According to Chinese reports, GAC Honda plans to officially launch the China-only Integra no later than the fourth quarter of 2021. Stay tuned for updates.
