Most BMW SUVs on sale in Malaysia like the BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4, and BMW X5 are already assembled in Kulim. The only exceptions are the X2 and X6.
Even the flagship BMW 7 Series (740 Le), is assembled in Kulim, so it's not too far-fetched for the BMW X7 to follow.
Besides USA, Thailand is the only other country in the world to assemble the BMW X7 (beginning 2021). They can't be the only country in the region to do so.
With the CBU BMW X7 starting at RM 861,846.72 (with 50% sales tax reduction), the CKD version will most likely start at a much more attractive price. (For reference, the BMW X5 45e starts atRM 440,745 while the BMW 7 series (740 Le) starts at RM 569,052)*.
