Alongside the GAC GS3 Emzoom and GAC Emkoo, WTCA also previewed the GAC Aion Y Plus, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) SUV that is expected to be launched in the first half of 2024.

This Aion Y Plus is powered Aion's proprietary Magazine battery that the company claims to be the safest in the world. The Magazine Battery, which is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, has a capacity of 63.2 kWh, allowing a WLTP-rated range of up to 430 km. The front-mounted electric motor produces 204 PS and 225 Nm.

On the exterior, the GAC Aion Y Plus features the “Angel's Wing” headlights with 7 horizontal light bars, creating a unique appearance on the road.

It’s underpinned by GAC’s Aion Electric Platform (AEP2.0), a dedicated EV platform. This platform boasts an extended body, featuring a long wheelbase at 2,750 mm, and a spacious flat floor for rear passengers.

The front seats has the ability to recline fully, transforming into a 1.8-metre-wide double bed. Rear passengers are treated generous legroom, measuring up to 1,022 mm.
