![Mercedes-Benz and Gentari join forces to build charging infrastructure and subscription plans 01]()
Gentari, a clean energy solutions provider, is looking to collaborate with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) through its subsidiary, Gentari Green Mobility to harmonise and boost EV adoption in Malaysia by jointly developing EV charging infrastructure and solutions.
The collaboration may extend to include value-added services, such as customized charging subscription plans, to enhance the overall experience for Mercedes-Benz EV owners. The potential partnership involves working with EV Connection - which operates JomCharge - to establish strategically located charging facilities across Malaysia, facilitating long-distance travel for EV drivers and instilling confidence in the range capabilities of electric vehicles.
"Together with EV Connection, Gentari's expertise aligns seamlessly with our vision to redefine the automotive landscape, providing not only high-performance electric vehicles but also a robust and accessible charging network. In line with our Electric Only vision, this planned partnership signifies an important step towards sustainable mobility in Malaysia,” said Amanda Zhang, CEO and president of Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia.

Currently, Gentari Green Mobility operates 79 DC chargers across 9 states in Malaysia and is actively expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
