Out of the quadruple known models Honda Malaysia has hinted for our market, the second model (after WR-V) breaks cover today – order books for the 2023 Honda City (GN-series) facelift has officially opened, ahead of its launch in Q3 2023 in Malaysia.
We don't know about it in its entirety just yet, but we know enough: there's a heavier tech focus in the updated model. The looks are par for the course; cleaner lines à la the Civic, refreshed wheels, and possibly even a colour adapted from the Honda WR-V's palette too.
Honda Sensing driver assistance safety systems in the New City e:HEV RS now comes with two additional features to further add value to our customers as below:
Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN) - New
Low Speed Follow (LSF) - New
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
Auto High Beam (AHB)
Honda LaneWatch and Honda Connect telemetry services remain.
The 2023 City RS receives several exterior upgrades consisting of new honeycomb front grille, new front lower grille, new rear diffuser, new side skirting, and a newly designed “RS emblem."
Other updates include a new front bumper, new rear bumper and newly designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The powertrains will remain unchanged - featuring the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC that makes 121 PS / 145 Nm, paired to a CVT-type automatic transmission, as well as a 1.5-litre two-motor full-hybrid that makes 109 PS / 253 Nm.
Now that bookings are open, the 2023 Honda City sedan facelift's launch in Malaysia definitely isn't too far away; stay tuned for then as we bring you the latest.
