WTC Automotif Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd (a Tan Chong Group company), has opened bookings for the 2024 GAC GS3 Emzoom with a booking fee of RM 1,000 and the first 100 bookings will be invited for a private event.

The GAC GS3 Emzoom will arrive fully-imported (CBU) at introduction, before CKD batches commence in the second quarter of 2024.

The 2024 GAC GS3 Emzoom is available in two variants, Exclusive and Premium-R, and is anticipated to be priced below RM 130,000. It is available in four colour options - Ivory White, Starlight Silver, Lake Blue and Graphene Grey.

Externally, GAC GS3 Emzoom boasts distinctive design elements, including the sharp Mecha Wing Grille, Laser Eye Split LED lights, and Light Dart taillights. Complementing this is a small ducktail-style spoiler integrated into the bodywork.

Underneath the bonnet lies a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 177 PS and 270 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Step inside, the GS3 Emzoom features a dual-tone interior and incorporates a dual digital screen setup along with colour-coded air vents and dashboard trim. There’s also a crystal knob for the shift-by-wire system, and a mix of USB-A and USB-C ports.

Ahead of the driver lies a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, while the infotainment screen size goes up to 12.3 inches.

Customers can get an exclusive preview of the car at GAC's upcoming roving activation event at Klang Valley from 2- to 8-February 2024. At the same time, WTCA also shared that the CKD version is expected to roll off the production line in Q2 2024 at the Tan Chong Motor Assemblies plant (TCMA) in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.

WTCA CEO Tan Keng Meng shared that the first showroom is set to open in Petaling Jaya by end of February, 2024, followed by five more strategically showrooms located in Glenmarie, Cyberjaya, Seremban, Johor Bahru and Penang by the first half of 2024. 

"We aimed to establish over 20 showrooms and service centres nationwide by the end of this year," Tan revealed.
