The 2023 BMW iX M60 has just been launched in Malaysia, priced from RM 630,800 (inclusive of extended service and warranty package), solidifying its position as the battery electric vehicle (BEV)'s range's top-dog in the country.
Unveiled at the rip-roaring M4NTAP Festival, the iX M60 makes quite the racket for itself as well - boasting figures that earn it the title of BMW's fastest EV to date, as well as one of Malaysia's most powerful battery-powered car currently officially on sale.
Two independently developed electric motors - these current-energised synchronous motors are made without rare earth metals - make a combined 619 PS and 1,015 Nm of torque, though up to 1,100 Nm can be squeezed when Launch Control is activated. Numbers good enough to bash the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds, and hit a top speed of 250 km/h.
The electric all-wheel-drive system in the model is also able to intelligently control power transmission, ranging from highly efficient pure rear-wheel drive through to an all-wheel-drive set-up that maximises traction.

Range is 561 km per the WLTP (425 km on the xDrive 40 and 630 km on the xDrive 50 variants, for comparison), provided by a 105.2 kWh lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery. Max DC charging rates go up to 195 kW, allowing a charge from 0% to 80% in just 35 minutes.
It also has 22 kW AC charging at home, needing just 5.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%. Via a 11 kW AC charger, the same state of charge takes 11 hours.
Elsewhere, the BMW iX M60 comes replete with all the bling inside and out, with the main distinctor between this and the other variants being the 22-inch BMW Individual M 1023 wheels. BMW badges are also available exclusively in High Gloss Black or Titanium Bronze only.
Standard exterior colour options for the iX M60 include the Mineral White, Alpine White Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Sophisto Grey Metallic with Brilliant Effect, Phytonic Blue Metallic, and Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic. Two special colours are also available, namely the Individual Storm Bay Metallic and Aventurine Red Metallic.
