Watch: Policeman deploys Kung Fu skills to stop escaping motorcyclist!

This viral video of a traffic policeman aiming a kick at an escaping motorcyclist has split the opinion of social media. Even the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has taken notice and launched an investigation on the traffic personnel in the video!
In the video, two policemen were seen getting ready to conduct a spot check on passing motorcyclists on Jalan Temple in Sibu, Sarawak.
But, after getting flagged down, one cyclist is seen blatantly making a U-turn right in front of the police and attempting to escape.
This was when the policeman waiting at the side of the road chased down the cyclist and directed a well-aimed kick at him when it appears that the cyclist had no intention of stopping.
Based on a report from the Utusan Borneo, PDRM has launched an investigation regarding the incident that happened at about 12.15 pm on 27th August 2020.
According to Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail, the police will take stern action against the personnel if he is found to have been careless or had acted aggressively while carrying out his duty.
Aidi also added that police have issued a fine on the motorcyclist as they have since found that the cyclist was riding without a driving license and his road tax was expired.
In addition to that, PDRM will also issue a fine on the motorcyclist for riding against the flow of traffic and modifying his machine’s exhaust pipe.
Opinions on social media are split. While some applaud the traffic personnel for not allowing the cyclist to escape punishment, others condemn him for his aggressive action that caused the motorcyclist to crash.
