Zeekr 009, BEV rival to Toyota Alphard, among 3 models confirmed for the Philippines

Geely's Zeekr has cemented its plans for its introduction in the Philippines, with the company inking a dealership deal with Autohub Group and revealing its upcoming line-up, Carguide.ph reports.
The premium battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand will start pre-sales and deliveries by the second quarter of this year (Q2 2024), beginning with three models: the Zeekr 001 Standard and Flagship, Zeekr X Premium and Flagship, and the Zeekr 009 by the third quarter (Q3).

The Zeekr 001 is the brand's first model, and the sedan is available with a range of up to 700 km in China. Meanwhile, the Zeekr X is a Lexus LBX-sized 427 PS EV (560 km range), and the 009 is a mega-MPV with up to 822 km of range, when equipped with CATL's CTP 3.0 Qilin battery.
This development comes after the brand announced its intention to enter the ASEAN market, beginning with the Philippines and later, Thailand. Plans to enter Singapore is afoot as well, and that is slated to happen by mid-2024.
Earlier last year, there were indications that Zeekr might also make inroads into Malaysia, but that was quickly quashed by DRB-Hicom.
