Just recently, Geely’s luxury arm, Zeekr launched the all-electric (EV) Zeekr X in China. The Zeekr X is the company’s first-ever SUV model and the third model after the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009.

At launch, Zeekr will offer 3 variants of the Zeekr X, namely the 5-seater Me and You variants, as well as the 4-seater You variant.

Prices range from CNY 189,800 (~RM 122k) for the 5-seater Me variant and the other You variants are priced at CNY 209,800 (~RM 135k).

Depending on variant, the Zeekr X can be had with a single rear-mounted motor or dual motors. The rear motor does 271 PS, while AWD variants with the additional front-mounted motor contributes another 156 PS, bringing the combined output to 427 PS.

Regardless of variant, the Zeekr X gets a 66-kWh battery pack, allowing for a CLTC-rated range of up to 560 km.

Despite its SUV form factor, the Zeekr X is mighty quick – the AWD variant of the Zeekr X is able to complete the century sprint in just 3.7 seconds.

In terms of design, the Zeekr X gets the company’s signature front fascia with LED daytime running lights made out of 41 individual LEDs.

The sides, despite the number of angles and creases, are especially clean due to the hidden door handles. The black-painted roof gives the impression of a floating-style roof. The rear of the Zeekr X gets a horizontal LED light bar with the Zeekr logo emblazoned across.

But the interior of the Zeekr X is where it truly shines – it’s a pleasant mix of simplicity and modern design cues. An 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster provides vital stats to the driver, while a 14.6-inch display mounted on the centre of the dashboard does infotainment and navigation duties.

As with most modern-day EVs, the Zeekr X’s climate controls are nestled within the infotainment system, freeing the cabin from physical buttons.

In China, the Zeekr X will square off against several similarly-priced rivals, such as the Volkswagen ID4.X, and even its stablemate, the Smart #1 (CNY 179,000 / ~RM 115k to CNY 279,000 / ). The latter shares its SEA platform with, but is a slightly smaller model.
