The Star reports that Malaysians could soon be scanning their MyKad to access targeted fuel subsidies. Toyota Australia and BHP, the mining company, have announced a new trial of the Toyota Hilux battery electric vehicle (BEV) prototype, marking the first test of its kind for the vehicle. The electric Hilux will be deployed at BHP’s Port Hedland site in Western Australia, taking on duties typically handled by diesel-powered vehicles.
